We didn’t set out to open a DESSERT café.
We set out to build the kind of place we’d always hoped existed.
Life has become remarkably efficient: We move quickly. Eat quickly. Meet quickly. Scroll constantly.
Yet some of our happiest memories happen when we slow down - A coffee shared with a friend. Ice cream after school. Dessert after dinner. A conversation that lasts longer than expected.
We wanted to build a place where those moments could happen more often.
Designed with heart.
For more than twenty years, we designed products, services and experiences used by people around the world.
Yet the project that mattered most to us wasn’t in a boardroom. It was right here in our own neighborhood.
Hina grew up in Pakistan and Vijay in India. We met while pursuing our Master’s degrees at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where design first brought us together.
Though our backgrounds are different, we share a deep appreciation for how food creates connection. From tea with family to desserts shared during celebrations, some of life’s most meaningful conversations happen around the table.
Always Summer is our way of bringing together thoughtful design, inspired flavors and genuine hospitality in the Pacific Northwest. Here you’ll find handcrafted ice cream, carefully brewed coffee, sweet and savory crepes and cocktails (coming soon!), all created to bring people together.
We envisioned a place where everyone feels welcome, where neighbors become friends, families create traditions and every visit leaves you with a little more warmth than when you arrived.
That’s the world we set out to build. We’re grateful you’re part of it.
